Mr. NJ Ayuk comes over as an established legal professional and the current CEO of Centurion Law Group which is an African legal and advisor corporation with its main offices in the heart of South Africa. The firm has its outreach to numerous countries like Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Cameroon and Mauritius. Talking about his tons of experience in various business domains, he has helped in investment strategies, the creation of joint ventures and corporation structures, privatization, licensing and related tax matters, OHADA law, oil and gas, power, local content development, litigation, contracts negotiation, governance and other matters related to the energy sector of Africa.
Major Expertise and Career Achievements
He has majorly ensured his participation in the process of structuring, conciliation and implementation process of some of the major sectors like petroleum, mining, LNG, and other natural resource projects. His firm got a big clientele bases in countries like Equatorial Guinea, South Sudan, Uganda, and Angola, Congo-Brazzaville, Nigeria, Senegal and other sub-Saharan countries. Well, this is where he is coming on board with all the high end experience in negotiating and strategizing the PSCs, EPSAs, JOAs, service agreements, concessions, oilfield service and drilling contracts, whilst further dealing in the licensing, pipeline and marine transportation issues. Beside this, the firm has ensured his indulgence in the sale and transportation process for LNG in more than 15 African countries.
Looking towards his most recent work in the given sectors, he actively participated in the advisory committee for the Ministry of Petroleum and Energies of Senegal, the Ministry of Petroleum of South Sudan and the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea to further create an effective plan for their local policies and strategies. He has further participated in most of the strategic investments and projects which have focused towards developing the Africa’s energy sector in recent times. His firm was also involved in the drafting of South Sudan’s first exploration and manufacture sharing agreement and the initiation of Equatorial Guinea’s offshore gas mega hub in 2019, which was first of its kind project in the entire African continent.

NJ Ayuk Guardian has also worked with the United Nations whilst managing most of their judicial issues in the process and he has further brought in the same experience into picture in other aspects like training of African judges, prosecutors and lawyers on a pro bono basis. He is also an active speaker and presenter and further participated in lots of ceremonies and functions.
NJ Ayuk was the main man behind the inception of Centurion Plus, Africa’s first ever lawyers and advisors on demand service which is aimed towards serving most of the firms in their legal matters for any given requirements.
He became the executive chairman of the African Energy Chamber in the year 2018 whilst leading the entire continent with his hardcore efforts in order to nurture and develop the capacity of African energy sector.

Looking into his education qualification, NJ Ayuk got finished up his education from the famous University of Maryland College Park and also grabbed a JD from William Mitchell College of Law in the United States. He is an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology and further holds the membership of of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), the Institute for Energy Law (IEL) and the Petroleum Joint Venture Association (PJVA).
